Teaching Philosophy PDF  | Print |  E-mail

We are constantly evolving as tennis professionals to give the best possible lesson. As in life teaching is a process.

What is the teaching method?

Freedom of movement is the central principle of our teaching philosophy.

Why do we teach the way we do?

Freedom of movement is essential in every sport. Once our students understand this, they can move with fluidity, allowing their bodies to take on any shape or stance. The same is true for a sculptor who uses moist clay. Dry, brittle clay will break to the touch. Moist clay can be touched gently to create shapes and contours. This is the essence of our teaching.

Why is your teaching method right for me?

Our focus on body awareness coupled with stoke production mechanics, will allow your style to evolve from a more natural place. Remember there are many ways to hit a tennis ball. Style is an extension of each individual’s personality and abilities. We will guide you in this process.

Why are you so excited about your teaching?

We believe in the uniqueness of our approach and want to teach people in our community the game we love.

What is the origin of our teaching method?

It originated from a desire to help people’s natural abilities flourish.

Do we have the ability to coach a player to the national level?

We have coached many nationally ranked players and have experience in competing nationally.

Are the professionals trained and are they career professionals?

Every teaching professional receives 100 hours of intensive training in the Tennis Academy methodology with our mentor professionals. Our career professionals have been teaching for many years.
